Kramer gives a pathetic apology
Michael Richards, who we all know as the goofy-yet-lovable character from Seinfeld, topped off a comedy routine at the Laugh Factory the other day with an out of control racist rant. For those of you who missed the video, you can see it here. He appeared on Letterman last night to say he was sorry:
"I lost my temper on stage. I was trying to do my act and I got heckled. I took it badly and went into a rage and said some really nasty things to some Afro-Americans," Richards tells Letterman via satellite. "I'm really busted up over this. I'm really, really sorry.
"I'm concerned about the anger coming through. I'm deeply, deeply sorry. I'm not a racist, that's what so insane about this.... I just have to do personal work. I'm still reeling from this."
You can watch his dumbass apology here.
Wow. Just wow. It was bad enough when Mel Gibson's excuse for his racist tirade was "I was drunk." Kramer's excuse is "I was mad." Seriously? What kind of sorry excuse is that?! I get mad sometimes too, and I usually don't start screaming racial slurs at people when I do.
