Are Stripes the new black?

A lot of celebs have been out and about lately in horizontal stripes. Is it just a coincidence, or can we expect the next big trend to be the Escaped from Jail look?

J-Lo exited her Madrid hotel in this little number. Stripes AND sequins? I hope it's just a costume and not a new trend. Although her hubby should really think about wearing stripes. It might make him look a little bit wider, so that he'll be more easily visible to the human eye.

Ok. So I know that Kirsten is pretty successful at maintaining the ugly chic look. But this shirt is much worse than a lot of the stuff she makes appearances in. It looks like the kids at the sweatshop got tired and quit adding stripes when they got to the shoulders.

Christie Brinkley wore this little number to the Skin Cancer Foundation's Skin Sense Award gala.

She's also going for the sparkly stripes look like J-Lo, but this isn't nearly as scary.















Fine, it's true that Katherine Heigl (of Grey's Anatomy) is probably just scrubbing around in a shirt she has left over from 1998. I just had to include her in this little series because she's gorgeous! And her life is so boring that we don't get to feature her much in the gossip.
