Clay Aiken still won't answer the gay question

Clay gives a response to the gay rumors in an exclusive interview with People:

On whether he's gay: "What do you say (to that question)? … It's like when I was 8. I remember something would get broken in the house, and Mom and Dad would call me in and say, 'Did you do this?' Well, it didn't matter what I said. The only thing they would believe was yes. … People are going to believe what they want."

Nice answer, Clay. You know what will really make people keep believing what they want? Talking about breaking things as an 8 year old when confronted with the gay issue.

I really don't know why he doesn't come out of the closet already. Fans of his wouldn't bat an eyelash if he came out. It just isn't humanly possible to be a fan of Clay's music and be homophobic at the same time.
