Work it, girl

Lately there has been much debate over the size of runway models, as many European countries are now trying to hire "healthier" models. Spain has been using a Body Mass Index of 18 as their cutoff, in order to ban super skinny, waif-like models from strutting their stuff on their runways. However, after laughing my ass off at this poor model trying to actually stay on her feet, I'm proposing that they now hire models that can actually walk. I'm sure the heels are totally outrageous...but they should know how to walk in heels, right? Just a thought.

Jean Paul Gualtier recently made a statement by sending a plus-size model down his runway as a sign of support of the heated debate.

Dressed in a daring black corsetry, the plus-sized model dwarfed her fellow waif-like catwalk queens. Clearly more of a size 20 than the controversial model Size 0, this voluptuous woman proved big is beautiful as she strutted down the runway at Gaultier's 30th anniversary show yesterday during fashion week in Paris.

Good for him. I fully support this catwalk change. The models are totally disgusting now. A runway packed with this is NOT healthy...or beautiful...or good for women's body image...
