Starlet fever

In a recent poll by Yahoo!, movie goers were asked to vote for the greatest ever movie starlet, and Keira Knightely ranked numero uno.

A spokeswoman for the poll - which was conducted by website Yahoo! Entertainment and surveyed 1,600 movie goers - said: "A starlet is an actress who people instantly think of as being young, vivacious, stylish, popular and, most of all, talented."There are a fair few starlets jostling for space at the moment, but Keira is the one who embodies all of these attributes. Scarlett may be the talk of Tinseltown but it is Keira's class that leads the pack.

Does anyone find that TOTALLY bizarre? I realize that she's in the insanely popular Pirates of the Caribbean, and she's pretty easy on the eyes, but TOP MOVIE STARLET EVER?! A little much, dontcha think? I would have at least expected Marilyn maybe even Audrey, but Keira??

Ok, that is by far the most random list of "starlets". The fact that Lindz, Shirley Temple, Brooke Shields and Mia Farrow are on the same list for anything besides Most Crazy Hair is WeIrD! Shirley Temple was hottt about 98 years ago. Brooke was totally IN about 53 years ago. Mia Farrow...62 years ago. What the hell is with this list?! I love me some Lindsay, but best startlet ever? I'm so *confused*. I want some Marilyn.
